Salam,

It’s so funny.

1) Protesting against something that has been taken out of context

2) National Fatwa Council probably confused about Lesbianism with Tomboyism

Is it something against the women? No, I presume. It’s certainly against homosexuality, though. Personally, not trying to be discriminatory or anything, I am against homesexuality. It’s against Islam and it’s ruled that way for a reason. I do believe it will have chain reaction of social problems. Family value, for example and family is quite the building material or structure of a community.

If they really do think Women wearing pants are considered a sin as imitating their male counterpart, they might need to get back to the ground and look at the reality of today’s world.

On my stance on equality of Male and Female. I am in the stance that they ARE equal and they ARE NOT equal. They are equal in the sens that none is better than the other. They are not equal in the sense of they have their own strength and weaknesses. Talked with Baba before. Orange and Apple, both are delicious. But they have different nutritions and type of deliciousness.

Just my 2,3,4,5 cents in the middle of the night with tons of works to do and stumbled over a funny protest news.

see, this may be funny to you but to a lot of us it is patriarchy.
and patriarchy happens in various forms.
the fatwa and the statement which was expressed by the fatwa council was not against lesbians directly. however, it was against those whom dress like boys. there was a part which i remember vividly that the womyn should be feminine and men should be masculine because thats the nature and that how we were born. clearly these people didnt get their gender 101.
sporting short hair, dressing like a boy, and behaving like one also is considered forbidden. so you tell me, is that a breach of our rights? isnt that control?

The word “Patriarchy” is quite new to me. So, I refer to wikipedia.
“Patriarchy is the structuring of society on the basis of family units, where fathers have primary responsibility for the welfare of, hence authority over, their families.”
I’m not sure what is the problem with that concept that you are like saying it’s a bad thing. If I am missing something, please let me know. I mean, fathers really need to have that responsibility. It’s not like saying no, women can’t work.
I don’t know about the exact fatwa but I did say that they need to get back to the ground if they’re saying something like wearing pants is not womanly.
