Tangkapan Khalwat Non-Muslim
April 7, 2008
Salam,
This is one issue that has been brought up recently. It was brought up by some IKIM personnel few days ago (for some who think it’s PAS’s.. hehe). My first impression, what??
It was not much of a thinking. I just feel that it’s kind of unfair to get non-Muslims under the Sharia Law as they don’t have faith to it. However, after a little bit of thinking. Then, Non-Muslims can do whatever they like with a Muslim and get away with it while the Muslim will be convicted. You tell me, is that fair? In the first place, the Muslim must be so stupid allowing it to happen, maybe not realizing he/she is a Muslim.
IMO, this IKIM guy is just trying to protect the Muslim from being the victim. Yes, it is unfair to put them under the Sharia, but it’s not fair if they are not convicted. From what i read recently, Sharia law will NOT be implied on them but the civil law. Now, it’s fair is it?
Now, let’s look at it Morally. Is it OK for even Non-Muslims cuddling around in public or private spaces? Anybody think it’s morally ethical to show non-decent act. Is it their right to freely do anything they like or is it our right to keep our community out of immoral behavior by youths and having social illness? It’s not just about the Muslims. It is the right of the community to have a moderate social life with excellent social structure ensuring a good development physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Want it easy? Take it out of Sharia Law and put it under civil law for those people that are so sensitive on the word “Islam” and “Sharia” and those human right activist (Seemingly forgotten the right of people to have a socially excellent community for being too indulged in fighting for the right of individuals wanting to have a good time with their partners outside marriage). Put in under the civil law and then imply it to everybody equally. Don’t have to give the reason because of Islamic law. It’s for the benefit of the society.
Update:
However. Ok, i forgot to add this. Law implementation is nothing that can correct minds that have been adulterated. It should be done not in a way of punishing but more as an act of preventing. This goes back all the way to our basic education. Not just Muslims have to learn it. Everyone needs to learn it. How important it is to have limit in relationships to ensure the excellence in social and community life. The responsibility goes not for the formal education in Schools only, but parents, friends, and relatives, brothers and sisters need to take some measure in advising and educating the community. We do not want the feeling of the lack of freedom with the laws but let it feels that it is our responsibility to keep the community healthy in every way. So… Education before Law!
Phew. I just let it floww.. Now, time to correct me.
Ladang Babi oh Babi di Sepang
April 7, 2008
Salam,
www.utusan.com.my – Which implies that the news might be biased:P
I read the news on the front page about the authorization of a Ladang Babi Moden di Sepang. Good, i live there. Haha. Not good, actually and the news was about Rakyat Selangor Bantah Ladang Babi di Sepang. The project, worth RM100 Million will surely bring some big bucks to Selangor. The first time I read it, i was quite disappointed with the state government’s decision as I live in Sepang although bordered with Kajang. Thinking again, it’s Utusan. That’s their work. Putting bad light on the new state governments. I was sure that there’s something behind this that they’re hiding.
So, I click the link Politik for more political stuff. Scrolled down a little bit and one more news surprised me. It’s about all three PAS Exco members in Selangor supported the project. I clicked on the link and read more.
Thank god, there are explanations that they do not hide. As I am, a Malay Muslim. I admit that I have been over-sensitive with Pigs whereas only eating it is Haram. Non-muslims eat them. So, even Islamic governments have no right to disallowing their non-muslims citizens from doing so. That’s oppression as they have the right to as they don’t have Islamic faith in them. Reading on. Some of the thing that i get to take into account are:
The project is still under consideration and has not been authorized.
The project will ONLY be done if they will not affect the environment around it. (It will use some modern techniques)
The project is actually a Ladang Berpusat project which will centralize all Kandang Babi Selangor to one place. Thus, these small Kandang Babi which do not have proper techniques will be closed.
THUS, NO MORE other kandang babi will be allowed on Selangor.
This Centralized Kandang will produce only for the consumption of Selangor Non-Muslims and not for export.
Now, i’ll quote some statement from the public in Selangor quoted from UTUSAN MELAYU(MELOYA, for some):
‘‘Ia agak mengejutkan. Saya tidak setuju dengan apa yang kerajaan Selangor nak lakukan ini dan saya minta jangan mencemarkan negeri Selangor,” katanya.
IMO:
Premature statement and i doubt he even read anything about the project. Based on the other report, the project centralizes current Kandang. This will actually ease the environmental control measures.
‘‘Sebagai kerajaan baru pastinya mereka mahu menunjukkan contoh yang baik tetapi adakah langkah-langkah yang sepatutnya telah diambil kira sebelum mereka meluluskan projek ini?
‘‘Saya harap kerajaan negeri dapat memberikan penjelasan yang adil kepada rakyat,” katanya yang menetap di sini.
IMO:
Smart guy and not stupidly reactive. He knows how to wait for explanations. Kudos
‘‘Sudah tentu saya yang menetap di Selangor ini tidak bersetuju jika negeri yang maju ini kelak dicemari pencemaran dan kekotoran.
‘‘Saya berharap kerajaan negeri agar pertimbangkan suara rakyat seperti yang dilaung-laungkan sebelum ini.
‘‘Takkan Malaysia yang merupakan negara Islam mahu dikenali sebagai pengeksport babi moden pula,” tambahnya.
IMO:
Correction for him, Selangor is already contaminated with freaking lots of pollution. Go to one of the source of Sungai Kelang, called Sungai Penchala. It flows through the developed neighborhood of Petaling Jaya and it is HEAVILY contaminated. (The source is up on Bukit Kiara and is a beautiful small river).
And i would like to mention again, based on MY reading (maybe containing errors), it will help control the contamination done by these kandang by centralizing it to one place and closing the others.
On the exporting issue, we now clearly know it’s not for export.
I don’t have to repeat, do I?
In Conclusion:
I am still disappointed.:D
Because if authorized, it will be built in Sepang which is my constituency. I would not like to have one nearby. But, this is what we see and hear and at least is assured that they will make sure the cleanliness and the control on the environmental issues around the area as opposed to the ones we don’t know and as in Melaka and N9, failed miserably in environmental control which should be feared more.
All in all, if they’re building it, anywhere it is, please please please make sure the environmental issues are taken care off. Not just by checking during inspections, but the whole system itself must be assured will not affect the life of the people nearby. Air, Sound, Water, Earth pollution and whatsoever. No smell, no sh*t in the river, no flies habitat. Please, don’t just say it. Do it. Save The Environment and the people around.
Thank You, Assalam Alaikum.
