Fitna II
April 2, 2008
Salam,
After doing much reading, boycotting doesn’t seem to be the right path to display our disagreement towards the release of Fitna. Several sites have stated about how the Holland government not supporting the action taken by Geert Wilders.
These are the list of people that have shown their disagreement with him:
Prime Minister of Holland.
-As opposed to what i have said before. Even their PM doesn’t support the release of the film.
Holland Embassy in Malaysia
Dutch Lady.
-As obvious as the name stated, they are one of the land’s company. However, they do not support the act done by Mr Wilders. IMO, they shall not be held as the scapegoat for the release while Wilders lauging out for he has no interest in the survival of these companies.
In gist, the film is a VERY LAME attempt to attack Islam. Mr Wilders used very-very weak justification in proving his points by interpreting previously-corrected-misinterpreted verses in the Quran wrong (Again) out of context. Thus, I see it just as an act of provocation as also IMO, “some”of the Muslims have been so bad in handling their cool thus damaging Islam themselves.
So, instead of just reacting blindly, let’s just despise the action and do not give him the attention that he does not deserve. Muslim users on Youtube has already been posting a reply to the film which is not gonna be that bad as they are weak justifications. Instead of bashing him for blaming Islam for the bad things happened in the world, we should improve ourselves to show him and others, the film is wrong.
As for boycotting Dutch product, if they do not support the move by Wilders, stop holding them accountable for his action. Pity them for being blamed for the action of some “extremist” in his country.
