Back after few months

October 30, 2009

Salaam
Walaupun takde siapa pun yang baca blog ni, nak cakap jugalah maka hari ni saya kembali menulis sebuah artikel di dalam blog ini kerana kebosanan bekerja Reeve.
Dah nak graduate tapi masih terasa kekurangan produktiviti. Back in Malaysia, semua dah aktif macam-macam aktiviti. Yang dok US ni masih lagi tak ambil peluang yang ada bermacam-macam di sini.
Nak aktif, MSA sajalah yang ada. Website baru dah buat, walaupun banyak problem mula2.

Ok, insya-Allah tulis lagi soon.
Salaam Alaikum

Salam,

It’s so funny.

1) Protesting against something that has been taken out of context

2) National Fatwa Council probably confused about Lesbianism with Tomboyism

Is it something against the women? No, I presume. It’s certainly against homosexuality, though. Personally, not trying to be discriminatory or anything, I am against homesexuality. It’s against Islam and it’s ruled that way for a reason. I do believe it will have chain reaction of social problems. Family value, for example and family is quite the building material or structure of a community.

If they really do think Women wearing pants are considered a sin as imitating their male counterpart, they might need to get back to the ground and look at the reality of today’s world.

On my stance on equality of Male and Female. I am in the stance that they ARE equal and they ARE NOT equal. They are equal in the sens that none is better than the other. They are not equal in the sense of they have their own strength and weaknesses. Talked with Baba before. Orange and Apple, both are delicious. But they have different nutritions and type of deliciousness.

Just my 2,3,4,5 cents in the middle of the night with tons of works to do and stumbled over a funny protest news.

A LONGGGG OVERDUE UPDATE

November 6, 2008

Assalam-Alaikum,

It’s been a while since I updated this blog. The last time was just before the final exam for last semester. It’s been halfway through the Fall semester, now. Lots of things happened since then. Politically, socially, academically, physically etc.

Currently, I have a meeting for Engineering Management 221 – The Intro that’s going to be due tomorrow night. Afterwards, I need to do more technical designing for my EECE 276 project, a digital Theremin (Go google Theremin if you don’t have any idea about it). Then, I have to a presentation slide for the design and present it tomorrow morning at 9. And then, I have an Econ exam tomorrow at 1 and I’ve not been studying much of the syllibus. Basically, I’m on the brink of getting screwed up. LOL.

All right, then. My groupmates are all here. Need to start on working…!

TTY Soon……

Salam,

Good luck to all the people in Vanderbilt University for the final examinations. May us get the best for the exams. Spring 2008 is coming to an end and thus, have a great summer holidays.

Schism vs Fitna

April 20, 2008

Salam,

Maybe some of you guys have heard of this movie Schism which is kind of like a parody of Fitna. It uses verses in the Bible instead of The Quran and some videos and pictures of terrorism and cruelties by the armies, US or not. However, as we might have known all of them are just a bunch of crap trying to make a religion looks really-really bad as how Fitna do to Islam. The most important part of this movie, which I missed the last time i saw it is really, the ending. It just lift the movie a little bit higher than Mr Wilders’ Fitna.

Salam,

I am still yet to read more on the matter of this project. But for now, i would like to join the campaign in going against the Kelau Dam Project. This project involves the construction of a dam 30 meters high taking a land area up to 24 km2. Indeed, it’s a vast area of rainforest.

The main agenda of this project is to cater the need of water from the Klang Valley. As the demand of water from the big population of Klang Valley increasing tremendously, the need of a new source of water is increasing. Lack of land in Selangor, I SUPPOSE, gives the government the plan to build another dam in Pahang.

Two main reasons I am against this project is:

1 – Pros vs Cons. Yes, we need more water. However, is it OK to destroy vast area of hundred years old rain forest. For me? NO. I’ve read about the proposal from the new government to gather new source of water from underground. The proposed area is in Batang Padang, Perak where it is said that it can produce about 2000 million litre per day. The consumption of water by Selangor currently is 2700-3000 mld. As this will not be the sole supplier of water. This should be sufficient. If not, try finding others.

2 – Orang Asli community in Pahang. The Orang Asli community is now so far advanced. They have a community website. Probably ran by some concerned citizens. A lot of these original settlers of Tanah Melayu will be displaced. What to they get from it? Besides having Klang Valley chance to grow more rapidly.

So, all of us should give more support to this campaign and get more people to be aware of this situation. Destroying more forest is just not worth it. We have done so much damage already to the environment. This is our task, people, as the khalifah on earth.

Note: I don’t have much time to learn about the issue and project. Correction addition on facts are highly welcomed. Above are pretty much my limited infos and i just want to let people know for now.

Salam,

I think this is my first explicit title ever. I have not a single idea on how their latest action can be justified. There are two main announcements which is quite disappointing. Besides that alone, the way they announce it and they justify it with no guilt annoys me more. I don’t mind if they have concrete reasons for their actions but the problem is they don’t and they announce their “justification” so proudly whereas it proves nothing but their discriminatory stance against the states under the new administration.

One

All Memorandum of Understanding with the states with the new admin are cancelled. That’s ridiculous. Continuing on, the government will create a new tourism council in these states where money will be given to them directly to do tourism projects instead of the state government. My hypothesis, they planned projects and already agreed on how they will suck out their portion of money. However, the new government will surely not give them the money. So, they need a new way to still get the money.

Their justification?

The only difference is the one who sign the cheques. What’s the big deal – Azalina Othman Said

It just shows how you want to have the power on the money instead of giving it to the administration which has been selected to handle it, which has been trusted more by the people.

She also said that this is not an issue, it has been done before in Kelantan.

Another stupid statement. SO, you have been discriminating against them a long time ago?

Two

Kementerian Perumahan dan Tempatan or something like that announced that they are also creating a new council. Before, they give the money to the state. The state give the money to JKKK to do the projects. Now, ths state is gone. So, they are taking all their JKKK people to resign. Put them into this new local council controlled directly by the federal government. And now, the money don’t go to the state. The money goes directly to these council.

My hypothesis: Then, the money can still be given to these JKKK people which are obviously their die-hard supporters.

In addition:
They also say that they will use the method that they have done in Terengganu to handle these new governments. You know what is one of the big thing that they did in Terengganu during PAS reign?

Basically, Terengganu has next to NIL income without its Petroleum production. The petroleum production earns the state nearly a billion a year from royalty. And during PAS reign, the royalty stops! The money goes to the government and is given back to Terengganu as Wang Ehsan to the Terengganu’s BN. So, what is left to the state government?

I don’t know about others, but i am feeling that they are so worried for losing these sources of money. They lost the states. Now, they are stealing the rights of the state governments as they still hold the federal government. They need to realize, the people there have selected their new government. NOT for the federeal government to take their power and source of income but to let them do the works and show that they are capable of leading the state.

It’s hard to have justice in this world. Salam Alaikum

Sufiah

April 10, 2008

Salam,

It is quite a big issue right now. Although i am not particularly interested in an issue of one little girl who seemed to be spoilt.

However, i went on my daily routine reading from Rocky’s Bru and found this link.

http://hyusof.com/

It’s a.. blog. By the family of Sufiah. Her mother and the other siblings. I read about her on the mainstream media a little and know the basic story but from my reading from the family’s blog and the pictures of her childhood there. I realized that the mainstream media has done it again. This time, to this poor little family.

THUS,

I feel that it is my responsibility to spread this blog to others so that they can get the right info first hand from the family without being sensationalized by the news to make it looks interesting.

As-Salam Alaikum,

The speech is by Moez Masoed and is very touching indeed. Let’s ponder on what he say and feel it thoroughly in our heart.

Thank You

Salam,

People have been protesting in front of the SUK building. If they are really the voice of people of the area. They would have to halt the project. They are the people there and they know better.

It is quite disappointing that the deterioration of environment around the area has been really serious because of the current pig farms. This has been happening for a long time and should have been reported a long time ago. I know perfectly that this is the lame political tactic being done by Utusan Melayu but still, action has to be taken to improve the situation. I am still disappointed, why is it NOW when the situation has been really bad that they want to report it? Why not long time ago? When the pollution has started taking its toll on the environment? Where are these people complaining, now?

For now, I think the government needs to take the view of the people in the area. The whole area needs to be cleaned up. Before looking to move other pig-rearing farms to the area, make sure the current farm is improved SIGNIFICANTLY before doing anything else. All the pollution needs to go first.

So for now, halt the project. Listen to the people’s views, first!

Explain to them how this project can clean all the mess up. The people are to be blamed and they can’t put the blame on the new project if they had not complain as the pollution has been there for a long time.

IF they had, then it’s the former government that has done no action on it unless the pollution suddenly appear after March 8th (I don’t think so).

For the new government, to heck with what the former government did, you guys have no choice but CLEAN THE MESS UP with whatever method including modernize the farm and have more control measure if it works. And explain to the people how it will help them.

Thank You
